Beware Of The Jester In the King’s Court. A long time ago, I had learnt to be weary of the Jester.

If you have a read a lot of Shakesphere’s plays you would definitely understand the idea behind this.

Often time, the Jester at the beginning of the play makes a remark to how the play ends but no one listens.. Not the king, nor the king’s men or even the audience.

This was so in Othello.

The Jester is often underrated and that’s the biggest mistake you may evey make.

One is quick to forget that the Jester always escapes every doom ahead while the King and his prestigious Court goes under.

Even at times, one forgets that the jester is even in the room. The Jester is always around in the court room secretly listening in on the conversations going on while being oblivious.

Even the King at times takes advice from the Jester.

Why is the Jester so wise¿

Well, the way I see it, it is not a question of intelligence not wisdom.

The Jester follows a key rule of power, Never Outshine Your Boss.

This is such an important life lesson, instead of outshining your boss rather you are to compliment them.

Remember that often time it is in your favour to be underestimated.
