Breathe, Live & Smile

2 days prior, I did a post on 4 Toxic advises that are being spread all over social media and third advice was,

Keep pushing until you see results.

I said I would do a post on when you should quit or when you should still keep pushing.

Where did this advice come from?

We live in a world where we all are connected together by thin threads. These thin threads are various social media outlets.

What this does is that we are exposed to various aspects of people’s lives and it’s very easy for anyone to state their opinion.

But I want you to remember the last time you went for an interview or you had to speak to a client.

There’s a 97% chance that they didn’t see the disoriented version of you. If you did get the job or were awarded the project, you most likely must have come off as confident and put together.

Perhaps you were nervous in the car, or even hadn’t laid your bed that morning and your apartment was a mess but you know they didn’t care about that.

You delivered what they expected and you were rewarded for it.

Think of social media the same way. When the camera lights or ring lights are on, the best is what you project.

In that sense, we are all hypocrites

Hasn’t there been times you have advised that you weren’t following?

So don’t feel pressured to do anything just because someone said so, you have a mind so do the thinking yourself.

When should you quit?

I can already tell that this heading gives someone the chills. You don’t even want to entertain the thought of quitting because that means you are giving up or settling for less.

But it isn’t.

Haven’t you heard of stories where someone quit something that was draining only to become successful in a different field.

What do you think would have happened if that person followed the mantra of don’t quit.

They would still be stuck there leading miserable lives.

One of my strongest beliefs is that no one thing works for everyone.

There’s something so important called purpose. Without finding your purpose everything else will never be worth it no matter how much effort you put into it.

If you are in the wrong field then you are in the wrong field regardless of how late you work into the night or how much effort you put in.

Closing Remarks

Find your purpose and go in that direction only then would you know you shouldn’t quit and should keep pushing.

Purpose is everything and without it you’re like a man in a dark room who can’t seem to find the light switch.
