We are always so caught up in Disney’s heros that we neglect their villains. In this post we shall be paying attention to some of Diney’s best villains.
Sit tight and enjoy the read.
First we have Gaston from Beauty and the beast.
There is a theory circulating the internet that Gaston is the image of the beast when he wasn’t the beast.

That sounds a bit confusing so let me break it down.
From Day 1, Gaston was the poster child for Colossal Jerk so much so that it was surprising it wasn’t imprinted on his head.
He was as rotten as they come, Rude,Misogynistic and loud.
He wanted to be the centre of the town’s attention every moment of the day and didn’t mind if he had to strike fear into the heart of the villagers to achieve this.
However, guess who was also this way.
The beast.
We seem to forget quickly why the prince in the tale was cursed and turned into a beast. So let me refresh our memory.
One stormy and windy night, an old woman made her way to the gate of the beast’s palace and drenched from the pouring rain she begged the beast for a chance to stay the night.
If this happened in the 21st century then it’s completely understandable that you turned a stranger away however it wasn’t.
Not only did the beast turn her away he also was extremely rude to her. Angered and having met such a rude young man, the old lady who happened to possess divine powers cursed him.
Can you imagine how nasty your character could have been that a sorceresses decided to change your physical appearance to match.
However this was the only way the beast would learn and it was effective after many years as he did learn his lesson.
I know these character similarities aren’t enough to draw this conclusion so let’s take it a step further and provide the physical similarities that both Gaston and the beast share.
They have blue eyes. Could this be a mere coincidence on Disney’s part or am I on to something?
Next we have Lady Tremaine from Cinderella.
The stepmother of Cinderella and the mother of Anatasia and Drizella just so happens to be the villain of this tale.

Just Cinderella’s luck that her dad decided to get married after her biological mother passed away.
This theory accuses Lady Tremaine of being a black widow. A black widow is a person who marries wealthy men, executes them and inherits their wealth.
Don’t you find it highly suspicious that Cinderella’s father just passed on? It seems a little too perfect that a single mother with 2 daughters appear on the scene and all of a sudden Cinderella loses her father.
And when you think about it, who stands to win from his death? As if it was planned, Lady Tremaine begins her ill treatments towards Cinderella the moment her newly wedded husband passes away.
More importantly, where was the father of her daughters, Anatasisa and Drizelle?
Could Cinderella’s father have been her second victim?
Who knows?
Third we have Hades from Hercules.
This theory might perhaps be the first one you will wholly believe in this list.
This theory suggests that Hades’s hair colour and flames represents the emotion he is currently feeling.
This theory has a lot of visual cues in it’s support.
At the beginning of the animation Hades is sporting blue flames which is what his hair colour is for the most part of the movie. However when his emotion changes so does his hair colour.
When Hades gets angry or pissed the hair takes a variety of colours like yellow, orange or red depending on how angry he is. The angrier he is the more intense his hair colour becomes.
This theory also goes further in proving that when his hair colour changes due to his anger he is actually weaker.
For a Greek god like Hades when his hair colour is blue he is far more dangerous.
Readers of Greek Mythology can agree with me that out of all the gods, Hades was by far a very calm and reversed one when compared to the likes of Zeus, Poseidon or Ares.
Fourth we have Dr Facilier from The Princess And the Frog.
Just as mother Grothel is known for her mother knows best song from Tangled, we know that Dr Facilier loves to sing about his friends on the other side.

This theory paints a rather strange picture. Perhaps Dr Facilier’s friends from the other side are the spirits of other dIsney villains.
Seems very far fetched but let me represent the facts before you. Dr Facilier’s friends are an odd bunch.
One seems to have the face of scar from lion king, another emits green energy like maleficent, another resembles Ratigan From the great mouse detective, and one almost resembles Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
To crown all this, the path that Dr Facilier is pulled through resembles the path to Hades from Hercules.
This one seems a bit iffy but let me know what you think.

Do you believe this theory?
Closing remarks.
Writing this piece was like a rollercoaster ride. I am a major Disney fan and I love to read all about these fan theories. When I rewatch the animation I see them in a completely different light and can now make some observations based on what I now see.
