The Moana franchise was also one of my favourites. I love it when Disney diversifies with their work and branches out.

You know the drill by now, if you haven’t seen Moana then you should because there will be spoilers in this post.
With that disclamer up there let’s get into it.
The story of Moana took place in the vilage of Mutuny, she was the daughter of the chief of the tribe. They were a tribe of voyagers who had crossed the sea and settled on the island.
However they no longer voyayed and stayed clear of the sea because of the tides and currents which were too high and often very risky. So they made peace with fishing and trading on the little island they settled in.
However things took a sharp turn when the island suddenly started to deteriorate and they were faced with the option of crossing the sea to find the demigod, Maui which was played by Dwanye the rock johnson, to return the mystical stone to the island of te fiti.
There are a lot of theories on what happened from here on out.
The theory that is the most intruiging goes thus;
Do you recall the trip that Moana decided to make to the find the demi god, Maui. Well this theory sports that moana never made the trip.
On the boat Moana has a vision that her people perish and this pushes her to be more swift to make haste with the journey.
This theory says that this wasn’t actually a vision and it really happened. Moana was too late and her people were wiped out.
The night that the dreadful strom happened on the ship, Moana died.
And she was unable to save her people.
However the rest of the movie shows her journey to Tefiti which is significant for heaven and Maui is actually her guardian angel.
Maui serves as her gaudain to take her through the afterlife and lead her to heaven.
Finally when they reach Tefiti and return the stone back, she is able to overcome all trials and reach heaven.
In heaven everything is blissful and she is retunited with her people however this time they are no longer on earth.
Closing Remarks
What are your thoughts on this? Is this leaning towards a myth or more of a truth?
