You’re the main character in your story.
Let that sink in.

Now ask yourself, Do I act like I’m the main character in my story?
If you think even a minute to analyse that question or hesitated then you aren’t living like the main character.
So that prompts this next question, When do I intend to start living like the main character in MY story?
We all remember some show we have seen with a strong character development that even we were shocked how the side character or invisible character could skyrocket to the main character by the end of the show. While this storyline is cheeky, It sells.
Want to know why?
Because people love to root for the underdogs. People like to watch characters they can relate to and see them achieve unthinkable feats because it gives them hope that they can do the same.
The same with you. You can’t go through life with your head down and hoping you don’t step on any toes because you will eventually no matter how hard you try. It’s risky to have an opinion and saying that opinion out loud risks offending someone with a different opinion.
What you need to remember instead is there are 2 sides to this game.
One, you are the main character in your story and
Two, you are the side character or even extra in other’s.
At its core what this means is that you take life too seriously thinking the whole world has their eyes on you when they really don’t. There’s a name for this, it’s called the spotlight effect, I have a post up on that and you can check it out to find out more on this effect.
Here’s proof that the world isn’t paying attention to you. Chances are you took a stroll today or you walked from A point to let’s say point B. Now tell me, Can you remember the faces of the random strangers you walked past? Chances are you can’t.
Can you remember the outfits they each had on? Chances are you can’t either.
Shocking news!
That’s the same way you are to other people.
You’re just filling up space in their time continuum and even if they did think about you, they won’t remember because you were a fleeting memory as they would have been to you too.
So every once in a while, you need to pause and do something that screams MAIN CHARACTER ENERGY.

This is not in a narcissistic way because to you it screams main character energy but to others you were just a passing act.
Walk out of that toxic relationship.
Run down the street laughing and singing.
Do something. Anything that screams I’m The Main Character in Your head.
Closing Remarks
When was the last time you did something that screamed Main Character Energy? What was it? Let me know in the comments.
As for me, I did something the day I wrote this post that screamed the main character’s energy to me. Do you want to know what it was?
