Where to begin with this news?
Let’s start from the top. A few months back I reached out to Poetry for Mental Health to inquire if they were taking in guest posts. Following the standard procedure, I wrote an email and then I sent it out with no thought of whether or not I would even get a response.
Robin, who is the founder of poetry for mental health responded back saying they were accepting poems, personal stories and interviews surrounding mental health for publications in their upcoming book and it could even be a poem that has already been published as long as I grant permission for the poems to be included in the new edition of their book.
So of course I submitted 6 poems and 4 of them were ACCEPTED. I can not tell you the amount of joy I felt when he said 4 of my poems were going to be included in the book alongside the works of other mental health poets and writers.

I was so excited so I marked the day the book was to be released on my calendar which is 18th of September, 2023.
So imagine my surprise when I get an email from Robin yesterday that the book was launched which was the 17th [following my timezone]
I was beyond elated and since I am a contributor, I was able to sample a copy of the book however you can get your copy here
I would also like to state that the entire process working with Robin was so smooth and stress free. He was very polite and patient.
Thank you Robin and Poetry for mental health, It’s truly an honour to be featured in the 4th edition of your Poetry for mental health book series.
