Breathe, Live & Smile

I’m here with more exciting news, although I’m 2 days late about another of my guest posts. As much as you want to deny it, sometimes appreciation feels good and keeps you going. And in the world of professional writing, it always seems like rejection is just arounf the counter.

Sometimes it’s your fault but most times it isn’t. Perhaps they weren’t just looking for that kind of content at the time or maybe your writing style just didn’t align with their website.

Whatever the reason may be, the rejection does sting a little at first and when it becomes iccessant at a period then you begin to doubt your work. This particular guest post is one I hold very dear to my heart because I wrote it specifically for a partiular blog [not going to mention the name]

However, after finalizing the structure and outline for the post which I titled, Affirmations – What comes to mind?

I didn’t hear back from the blog even after multiple emails once the post was finished. I decided to reach out to other blogs but none was forthcoming and because this post was written specifically for that blog, it hurt even more.

This was a time during my career where I was constantly getting rejected but I kept going mostly because I had a blog I had decided to start taking seriously [if you’re a writer this is a sign to start your own blog or at least have an account where you can get recognition for your work even if you aren’t making from it yet.]

I reached out to this website called mummy conquering anxiety and was intrigued that the blog was focused towards parents, mostly mothers. I doubted they would respond to my email but it never hurt to send one either.

2 days later I heard back from them and my post was schdelued to be published. It was initially published 2 days ago and you can check it out here

I would have written this post earlier but I have been neck deep in other projects and just got the time to get around to doing it today.

I want to express my gratitude to this website and Sam, the representative that spoke with me, for believeing in my work and publishing it.

I hope you take this as a sign to finish writing that guest post and send out an email, it never hurts to try.
