Breathe, Live & Smile

Have you ever wondered why it seems like therapists/psychologists can reveal deep secrets about you just by how you walk.  Well here are what your foot movements could be telling your therapist about you.

Crossing legs might be signs of being on guard due to trauma, however crossed legs with your foot underneath your ankle may be signs of keeping a deep secret like an affair.

Symmetric/ rhymed/timed tapping might be signs of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder [OCD]

Shaky legs might be signs of hyperactivity

Foot tapping excessively might be signs of generalised anxiety.

Squirmy feets might be signs of anticipatory anxiety.

Folding of feet under legs might be signs of Regression and Lack of nurturing while growing up

Stretching crossed legs might be signs of passive aggression.

Closing Remarks

Please note that these symptoms aren’t mutually exclusive to the above examples however they are things that therapists pay attention to because the body gives more tells than our lips do.
