I like shiny things,
Those little sparkles that
Catch your eyes
Just before you leave the store
Maybe it’s because
I don’t notice them at first
But once I do,
I can’t take my eyes off them.
I’m drawn to the shiny things
In hopes that one day
Someone would see my spark
And love that.
