Breathe, Live & Smile

Oftentimes it feels like God doesn’t understand how much getting that new shirt would make others see you differently or he doesn’t understand why you crave to be so popular among your peers. After all he is a superior being so he wouldn’t get it.

Recently I came to the realisation that this is why he sent us Jesus in the form we would most relate to.

Oftentimes we forget that Jesus was human too meaning he probably knew how inconvenient having a sore throat was, he probably experienced the occasional headaches and body pains, if he stubbed his toe against a table he felt the sting, he had morning breath when he woke up, he had a running nose and would need extra layers of clothing when he was cold.

He knew the frustration of looking for something you could swear you kept in one place but couldn’t find. He would run out of breath if he ran for too long, his stomach would growl if he was hungry, he knew what it felt like to be judged too harshly by society, he understood every single inconvenience we are going through right now.

He understands. I knew Jesus was human but putting it into perspective like this just makes it feel different. It makes it more real.
