Kayla: You need to leave now!

Stefan: What? Why? .. I thought you wanted me to kiss you.

Kayla: Yes.. No.. I mean.. Just leave

Stefan: Don’t walk away. Talk to me. Kayla, please. I’m sorry

Kayla: I need space. I need to th..think.

Stefan: We can figure this out together.

Kayla: No, No! Stay back. Don’t take another step. I can’t think if you crowd me.

Stefan: Okay, I’ll stay right here but talk to me. Did I do something wrong?

Kayla: I don’t know what to say.

Stefan: You’re shutting me out.

Kayla: I’m not, I just.. I just..I don’t know what I’m feeling.

Stefan: I know what I’m feeling.

Kayla: What do you mean?

Stefan: You don’t know why I race down here every Thursday by 4pm to listen to your lecture on Bio-Economics even though I don’t have the slightest knowledge of the concept.

Kayla: I thought you enjoyed my lectures.

Stefan: Or why I always make sure to order 2 American Iced coffee with extra cream and sugar when we go on walks. Or why I spend my weekend donating my time with you at the rescue shelter.

Kayla: You said you love animals.

Stefan: And I do but not enough to spend my only free day, all day, every weekend on them.

Kayla: I don’t understand..

Stefan: You do Kayla, You’re a smart woman. And why do you think I kissed you just now.

Kayla: I can’t.. I don’t..

Stefan: Take a deep breath, Kayla. I know the wheels in your head are spinning.

Kayla: You’re saying that you like me.

Stefan: Yes I am Cupcake.

Kayla: BUT WHY?

Stefan: Because I can’t help myself.

While on my hiatus, I tried experimenting with different writing styles, using writing prompts off Pinterest. This is one of them, I have never tried writing a dialogue scene like this so if you have any notes I’d be happy to consider them.
