Let’s work until we die.
Why do we choose to live like we are stuck in a race we don’t even want to run? We would rather do anything else than live our lives. Lives that we made from choices we arrived at.

We’re living like slaves who only look forward to a break. We’ve tried so many productive hacks that we constantly feel the need to be busy every waking second. It’s not how well but how long.
It doesn’t matter if we read just one chapter today as long as we had a 5 hour study session.
We push ourselves and break our backs for lives we don’t get to live because it’s over way too soon. Where has the time gone?
We dread waking up but sleep for too long can only mean 2 things; laziness or death. We choose neither.
As unpaid interns we do everything, always in a hurry, never waiting never slowing down. Our life becomes one big to do list where we keep checking things off. No room to breathe, we can be more productive with more time.
Take one more course, Read one more page, One more … Just one more but we never apply that to resting. The idea of doing nothing makes us squirm. We’ve never be left unsupervised before. What would we even do?
So when we crash and burn we turn in the deep ends of self care which in reality is anti self care. We swap between doom scrolling and trashy reality tv. One more episode, one more video, one more refresh but we fail to see that time is going by.
We can only live by black and white, you’re either productive or procrastinating, one or the other, making trades and acting like we know what we are doing.
We inevitably guilt ourselves for taking too much time off and we once again dive into the arms of a busy schedule yet hoping for a better result this time. Remind me of the definition of insanity again?
We’ve given so much away we forget we can say No. We can free up our time after a rough day. The world won’t spin out of orbit & it definitely won’t crash and burn if you choose to slow down from your strides to slow walks. One foot in front of the other.
Slowing down isn’t the end of the world or you.
