Insults as a sales tool?

It is increasingly becoming apparent that the convenience of online shopping is now being traded off for unscrupulous advertising techniques. More so tactics that are concerning as the consumer.
It’s easy to notice that the tone of the vendor is almost always dripping with condescension during the product promotion.
Why should i be insulted first as a customer? for example, a wig vendor will start off her advertisement by saying “Are you even a woman if you don’t have at least one good wig on hand?”
A promotional video for registration for a cooking class will open with the intended chef who is teaching the course saying something along the lines of “you should know how to cook quality meals for your man before he leaves you for another”. A skincare vendor will shame you for being grown and having acne before marketing the product. And these are just the examples i can think of. It’s worrisome and just in very poor taste.
As a consumer this method would never work on me, instead i would avoid your product like the plague because there is no need to bully me into shopping. I like to enjoy spending my money. I would rather choose a product where i’m valued as a paying customer without any added layer of shame or taunts.
