Love, could it all just be a figment of our imagination. A feeling that our brain tricks us into believing. But why do we question Love and not other emotions like Pain.
A friend once told me that Pain is addictive. As human beings, we are wired to crave pain more than we crave love because we are used to feeling pain.
We are used to things not working out for us. We are used to feeling like shit all day long. We know just how imperfect and perfect we are. [ Quite contradictory but you know it’s the truth]
But having someone look at all your imperfections and choose to love us. It’s almost like that’s too much for you to handle. Something has to be wrong right ?
I mean I’m not the prettiest girl out there, neither am I the smartest or the most clever?
You see that right there, You start second guessing everything but when pain comes along you feel yeah, I deserve that.
That’s the sole reason your perfectly good relationship was ruined or you’re on the path to ruin the one you’re in now.
You don’t think you’re good enough or worthy enough to be loved. When in reality you are and you just need to see yourself that way.
I advise staying away from social media for the most part. Keep in mind the things we see, hear and listen to has a huge impact on who we are.
SOCIAL MEDIA CREATES UNREALISTIC STANDARDS, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. I am in the modelling industry and I can tell you one thing for sure, We don’t look the way we do in shoots on a regular day.
Before we get on set, we spend hours getting ready and even longer time getting all the good angles with state of the art equipments.
Also know this, you can’t love someone until you love yourself. No knight will save you, a princess if she is hell bent on not being saved.
It’s okay to love someone. We live in a world where saying LOVE is a tabbo and you’re seen a foolish. We hardly even tell our folks, we love them.
But we wail our eyes out when we lose them and beat ourselves up for not telling them how much they mean to us.
Which Is why I suggest you reduce your time spent on social media and pick up other productive hobbies.
For me, my productive habit is writing. You have no idea how relieved I feel after writing this piece.
I haven’t written anything on here in a while and I convinced myself into thinking I had been very busy hence I haven’t time but in reality, I did. I just didn’t have any topic that I was passionate about writing.
How’s this piece for a comeback?
[ for some reason my inverted question mark isn’t working on this keyboard, someone please help !!! ]
