Whispered lies,
Hushed tones,
Silent cries,
The cycle repeats,
Tried from everything
And nothing.
It makes me wonder
When shall this trial end?

Your poem, “Whispered Lies,” beautifully captures the essence of a cycle of emotions conveyed through powerful imagery. The use of phrases like “hushed tones” and “silent cries” really evokes a sense of ongoing struggle and introspection. It’s a poignant reflection on the challenges and trials one faces. In your writing process for this poem, was there a particular moment or feeling that inspired you to explore this theme of a repeating cycle? Your ability to express complex emotions in just a few lines is truly impressive. Keep up the great work! 🍂✍️🌟

Thank you so much. This really encouraged me, as I was sceptical to post it.
I would say when I was writing this poem I was tired. That feeling of exhaustion that comes from doing everything and nothing at the same time. Like you’re overwhelmed with the tasks of the day and coming weeks but in that moment you can’t bring yourself to do anything. Hence why I wrote this poem to convey what I was feeling but couldn’t quite express to those around me.
