Depression isn’t always about being sad. Because to be sad, something must have occurred, is occurring or will occur to stir that emotion in you. You’re sad when things happen or don’t happen.
But depression? There’s never a reason why, you’re just depressed.

Nothing has quite happened, is happening or will happen but it doesn’t matter because that doesn’t change how you feel.
Depression isn’t some emotion you just push down when the very thought of breathing or moving feels like a chore. When you so desperately want to sleep and never wake up. When you eat just enough to keep you alive. When you find yourself unable to fulfill even the simplest tasks. When life doesn’t feel worth it but you can’t quite take it. When you keep getting trapped in your head over and over again. When reality starts to see a bit too real and fiction becomes alluring.
When you don’t want to stop but you can’t go on either.
